Marquise Cut

The marquise cut — also called the navette, or "little boat" — is an elongated shape with pointed ends, legendarily commissioned by Louis XV. In antique jewelry it appears two ways: as hand-cut old marquise diamonds, and as the beloved Victorian and Edwardian navette ring, a boat-shaped cluster of old cut stones worn along the finger.

Our marquise collection gathers both: antique marquise diamond engagement rings, navette cluster rings, and Art Deco designs that use the shape's geometry to full effect. Hand-cut marquise stones are genuinely scarce, so this collection is small and changes as pieces surface.

Every piece is one of a kind and authenticated in-house. Domestic orders ship free, fully insured, by express delivery; layaway is available, and viewings can be arranged by appointment in Great Neck, New York, or over FaceTime.
