Old Mine Cut Diamonds

    Filter

Old mine cut diamonds are the oldest diamonds we regularly handle — cut by hand in the 18th and 19th centuries, with a softly squared outline, high crown, deep pavilion, and large open culet. Their glow is warm and organic, made for candlelit rooms, and no modern cut replicates it.

Our collection features old mine cut engagement rings, clusters, and halo designs from the Georgian, Victorian, and early Edwardian eras, frequently in warm yellow gold and silver-topped settings, with many stones carrying GIA certification. Slight asymmetry isn't a flaw in these diamonds — it's the proof they were cut by a human hand.

Every piece is one of a kind and authenticated in-house. Domestic orders ship free, fully insured, by express delivery; layaway is available, and private viewings can be arranged by appointment in Great Neck, New York, or over FaceTime.
